For those of you who are new to the idea of sound engineering, it is a pretty general and widely encompassing field! Sound engineering can involve everything from the mechanical designs of a guitar to the programs written to manipulate the sounds that are recorded.
In fact, music production is a form of sound engineering. Music production is essentially the manipulation different sound levels to make a form of music or sound for auditorily palatable. Every bit of music you hear on the radio or on TV has been engineered in some way!
